things i've learned about beantown and travelling with babies

pros
1. the. fish. is. good. i miss cod. and lobster.
2. lots of free booze when hanging out with one's constantly inebriated family.
3. sam is great about people constantly petting, pawing, and swarming him like a horde of ants.
4. my grandma, even though she has many old world, hare-brained ideas.
5. i *heart* no clothing sales tax.
6. renting a car affords one flexibility and independence from one's clan.
7. no need to worry about drought.
8. my kid is awesome at travelling.
9. peet's coffee is still free.
10. tavern/pub lifestyle.

cons
1. the food sucks. unless you count beer as food. there is little of interest to eat there.
2. hideyo can create a beer gut in under 10 days.
3. i have nothing good to say about the infrastructure of that effing town. MAKE NEW STREET SIGNS. LABEL ROUNDABOUTS PROPERLY. STOP NAMING ALL THE STREETS THE SAME THING IN EVERY TOWN.
4. WATERTOWN. i hate that bitch.
5. i am a complete snatch more than 5 days away from home. i yelled at hideyo a lot.
6. you have to spend a lot of time with people. not my strongest point.
7. boston is a place of american history. ick.
8. my family being hugely square about eating anything that isn't chinese.
9. beaners don't eat vegetables. and this coming from me!
10. the food still sucks.
