freaking murphy's law
some days, the world just pisses on you. today could be that day. OR, it could be that i overreact frequently and am just being a pissy bitch to my husband lately. i fear it is the latter.
we got tix for club seats at today's giants-dodgers day game. the weather was supernice in the city -- and i had visions of fun family time at sam's first ball game right before i go back to work on tuesday.
it was not meant to be.
1. we are late. the game starts at 1. we get on the train at 1:19 because we try to go to the farmer's market to buy green onion slabs for ltg tomorrow.
2. there were no more onion slabs.
3. caltrain costs $23.
4. we get to the city. we decide to stop to get a subway because we have a gift card and don't want to pay tons of money for ballpark food. the people there suck. can't cut the damn sandwich straight and tell me they can't scan my card. refuse to help. i have to pay full price for the sandwich. i hate unhelpful people. i hate paying full price for things that should be giftcarded!
5. we can't find anywhere to change sam's poopy diaper. we wind up popping a squat under the palm trees in front of willie mays gate. i snipe at hideyo.
6. we got tix from my coworker who has a friend who has corporate tix. we get to the gate. the tix ticker makes a funny noise. he sends us to the ticket office. the tix office lady tells us that someone from the corporation came earlier, said that they "lost" the tickets and got new ones to replace them. bottom line: our tickets are invalid. would we like to buy the remaining pair of tickets for today's game for $84? or there are standing room only tickets?
7. in the throes of indecision, we still need to feed sam. we repop that squat in front of willie mays gate to feed sam. no tickets are purchased.
8. we get back on the train. no game. to add insult to injury, the giants get it together and actually have the nerve to win in the bottom of the ninth. no game for sam, no game for us, last free day before going back to work ... wasted. i am furious.
9. we decide to treat ourselves to yogurtland. hide wanted a matcha cream puff. we get there at six. they close at six. no cream puffs.
10. it's now 8:46. if anything else happens, i am going to break something.

Wow. That is a truly terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. I hope today was some improvement and that you can leave for work tomorrow with a better taste in your mouth! (E.g., matcha cream puffs.)
