distracting myself

hideyo & co have gone to kenya. please pray for them!

i am not down with the single parenting gig. i have the easiest baby ever, but i just miss my lifebuddy and i know sam misses his daddy. hide made sam a good morning video (and a good night one) so we watched it this morning and sam smiled and gurgled at his daddy, but then stopped smiling when daddy didn't pop out of the screen to play with him. too sad.

in the interest of distracting myself from feeling sad knowing that this trip was coming, i was baking and cooking up a storm, including but not limited to: one million kinds of jam, olallieberry pie, and blueberry nectarine buckle. i only got pics of the pie, i was that proud. i owned the crust, a major feat in my universe.



i might be doing a lot of emo cooking/baking so stay tuned ...
