addendum

in order to anesthetize my brain (as lhones so artfully puts it), honey and i have been watching crazy movies this week. went to watch "v for vendetta" with the chens on tuesday (which i thought was great and will be excellent classroom material when we study totalitarianism) and then we watched "the butterfly effect" (in lieu of dinner in the park.)

so there is that one freaky kid tommy in that movie right? the one that beats the shit out of people and sets animals on fire? okay ... i realize that this one student i have that i hate (we'll call him tommy) ... IS JUST LIKE TOMMY. same voice, same fat white kid look, same bad attitude, and i would not put it past him to show cruelty to animals. the esp. freaky thing is ... my "tommy" just barged into my room demanding to leave his football stuff here, and i actually shrunk back into my chair, b/c he even LOOKS like the tommy in the movie.
