nesting

i know lhones gets a fit of nesting when she's pregnant and starts organizing and redecorating like crazy, but i think my nesting instincts kick in when i'm about to enter a new season. and with a brand new school hot on my heels, my guess is i went hyphy and deepcleaned the house today. hideyo doesn't understand it at all -- he thinks snacks should be doled out when someone chases the hoover around, but not me. every once in a while (read: every 6-9 months), it's time to clean the hell out of the apartment. areas particularly subject to abuse: kitchen and bathroom. it means bleaching all the countertops and cleaning the filters and wiping down door handles and cleaning the oven. you know that sticky ickiness that gets all over the kitchen (oil + dust?)? bye-bye. bathroom means getting in and scrubbing down the bathroom, and bleaching the tub and recaulking and all.

good thing i only really clean for my own benefit. hideyo hardly noticed.
