happy!
on our third attempt, hideyo and i have created a bastardized version of kimchee soondoobu that works for us. karena (chinese) said it was good. jenie (korean) said: you made soondoobu with WHAT? what we really need is some hot ahjooma (jieun) to show us how it's really done.
we went through our "bowl" of stuff. we unearthed many more williams-sonoma gift cards leftover from the wedding than i thought we had. think of all the overpriced bakeware i can buy! raptures!
there are summer sales at williams-sonoma. hideyo said it was okay to buy more dish towels (in delectable orange/yellow combo colors) because they were $2.99 and so we can have a summer set and a winter set. how absurd is that? LOVE that guy. he knows how to keep me giddy with household supplies. they also had professional series kitchenaide stand mixers $100 off. i thought about putting a matte purple one in our house. honey said no.
barefoot contessa cookbook. she is MINE. i agonized about getting the first cookbook or the family style one (highly recommended by sugarshock) but i still went with the og. (that and i refused to buy $70 worth of cookbooks in a day.) i think i may actually be more in love with the food photography than anything else, but anyone who can get me to eat vegetables is a freaking genius in my book.
between breakfast and snacking through seminary class, honey and i have doublehandedly eaten a half-pan of brownies.
i played my cello for my class today. i was thoroughly embarrassed as i stumbled through a sad irish immigration song. but that is modelling courage for the young.
i think i may get a STEP student in the fall. i think i found one i like. i hope she likes me back and wants to come work with my children in the fall.
i have a coupon for coldstone's. (thanks, stef.)
the Lord is speaking to me. we are buddies. i dig this.
honey rocks. so glad we're a team.
tj is now making unscented deodorant that doesn't make me itch like tom's of maine. it works. i don't smell bad.
it's hot enough to make sourdough starter.
summer school is almost halfway done.
and so it goes ...
