feeling like a genius

as i nurse my illness, i spent some quality time with alex trebeck (sp) on jeopardy yesterday, and i must say that i felt as smart as, if not smarter, than the college professor, the warehouse sales guy, and the lawyer from georgia.

dude, i was just hella feeling the topics. it's nice to know that the topics i teach and/or have learned about are worthwhile. just call me a treasure trove of nominally useful trivia.

my crowning glory (which i put on the bathroom mirror this morning, honey) was the final jeopardy clue. the topic? word origins. entymology is not my thing, but i'll go with it.

the clue: "this word for infidelity that comes from the name of the bird that lays its eggs in other birds' nests."

none of the three contestants got it. can you?
