strange cookings

1. oatmeal cranberry cookies. read the freaking directions. 1/4 tsp of nutmeg is NOT the same as a 1/4 of CLOVES. omg.

2. sourdough bread. consistency-wise, delicious. tastes like bread. smells like bread. was it sourdough? NOT AT ALL.

3. roast chicken. who says i can't cook it in a dutch oven?? it was pretty tasty, and it cooked my potatoes and carrots too. *happy*

4. muffins. millions of them. i have memorized the recipe. not bad, but you have to eat them warm. day after is not the same.

5. marble bundt cake. with buttermilk, one can't go wrong.

6. hush puppies. found a recipe on the back of the clabber girl container. they are TASTY. fried soul food goodness. terrible for you i imagine, but delicious.

i've gone white. or black. but certainly there be no chinese food in the house of satake.
