... why people buy sourdough bread from safeway. because making starter is harder than it looks.

this morning, when i stirred it before going to school, it was FINE. happy and moving and shaking.

when i came home, it was dead.

i don't know what heeday did to it ... but i'm going to give it some time to think it over and see if it will changes its mind. there are a few bubbles left, so maybe it's just sleeping. taking a break. going on vacation. going on strike, a la ben tao, with the silent fist of fury.

we shall see.
