funny kids

i totally dig my advisory class more than any other of my classes. maybe it's because i work with them in a different context -- i'm a mentor/mom to them, as opposed to the big b in the classroom. we joke around -- we're like a little family. i'm the old woman in the shoe, with so many kids (26) i don't know what to do. but they're funny. and i'm looking forward to surprising them with a pancake breakfast next week. heeday is going to come help, so they can meet him. they were also enthused about helping me make centerpieces. ahahahaha. that'd be a scream, n'est-ce pas? i wonder if that qualifies as child exploitation.

man, this weekend was something. my very own bridal shower. and it was FUN. more sausage than i've ever seen, and pizza and beer. deeeee-licious. some of the presents made me a little squirmy, but i can be a good sport about it. if you didn't see me squirm -- well, you missed your chance. because i won't have to do this again -- whee!!

and then sunday, went with bops to her holiday concert at chateau julien in carmel. which is hella far, by the bye. but the winery was beautiful, and the concert was great (in the barrel room) and the food and wine were free flowing. omg. i haven't had that much to drink in forever. jenie and i were quite giggly afterward (totally giddy) and she was super asian tan. but it was a great time. totally enjoyable and i strongly recommend it next year. totally worth the $25. trust me.

and now it's monday again. no idea what i'm going to teach in class ... so ... i better go figure that out.
