8 weeks to the day.

can you believe that?

as part of the countdown, i really have to give a somewhat belated shoutout to my ladyfriends, who threw the funnest bachelorette party EVER (nod to the drama queen). now before people have notions of us being girls gone wild with the christian strippers who pass out tracks at the end of their performances, let's remember -- come ON. do you HONESTLY think that karen is going to go for the christian stripper route???

this isn't to say that any of the other ladies were either, but really, a truly wonderful time of fun, sharing, and camaraderie. i enjoyed every minute of my bubbly, best.tomato.soup.ever, facial and pizza and tears ... and ten yowling women at zachary's is not a sight for every day.

and as my countdown continues ... i feel more and more blessed even as my anxieties over details rise exponentially. i have a wonderful fiance. i have an extremely nice helpful set of parents, and an equally kind future set of parents. i have the greatest friends a girl could ask for -- friends who are lovely and caring and generous, and i am so glad i have them in my life.

*sigh* now if i only had nice things to say about my students, then i'd be all set.

in any case, THANKS ladies. can't wait to see what the next 10-15-200 years has in store for us. *hugs*
