kid-free day
thank GOD. my lessons have been so painfully boring lately, i might actually bore myself to sleep in class one day.
so, i had the most harrowing experience at kinko's. i took all of our invitation stuff down there to have them cut them ... it should've been like 10 minutes and $10. but the woman that cut them for me wasn't being very careful, and all of a sudden, on the directions cards where it says "hideyo and alinna are registered at ..." said "ideyo and alinna are registered at." i freaked out. for a couple of reasons.
1. i want to marry hideyo, not some fool named ideyo.
2. jenie is in hawaii, so she can't print more.
3. she ran out of red ink, so she couldn't have printed any more anyway.
4. we already didn't have enough directions cards because she ran out of red ink.
5. jenie returned the computer she made the invites on, with the appropriate programs on.
6. i'm going down to la this weekend to actually do the assembling with heeday, so time was of the essence.
in the end, it's a case of all's well that ends well, but i just CRIED at the counter. so stressful. she tried to make a color copy of a copy (never a good thing, as any graphic designer will tell you) but then she couldn't get it to the right size. so i had to go home, and dig through jenie's stuff (SORRY) looking for the backup copy and bringing it back to kinko's so they could make copies. but then, because it was done on a laser printer, the colors were all off. jenie's copies were more pink; the ones from kinko's were totally red.
yeah, that's right. i made them reprint EVERYTHING. for FREE.
that's what you get when you screw with me.
so stressful.
