survived the drive.

when you have to drive the la-sf trek by yourself, it is freaking ridiculous long. but i live to tell the uneventful tale.

lovely to be in la with my team this weekend. we have decided that whoever told us that it would get easier the longer we practice the long distance thing ... well, sucks to your ass-mar, brother. you're full of crap. it is DEFINITELY harder now than it was in september ... but i value our time together that much more, and it is just so fun to be together (ten p.m. meals notwithstanding.) i love the meals we concoct together (chicken and bratwurst skewers with onions and peppers, alongside bruschetta and sangria), the laughs we share, the snits we work through together, and getting to worship together on sundays is always a double plus. getting to hear him share for the first time ... my cup's pretty friggin' full. thanks, honey.

double props to my sister -- for the late nights she endures on my behalf and the many anthropologies we have frequented. hot shirt. hot girl. *hugs* you little turd you. you're a rock star.

also loverly to see old friends. peter was in town, and i pretty much demanded first rights on his time in la. i've known pete since my freshmen year in college ... and hanging out together is always great. plus ... this time, he had a story to share. thanks, pete, for your honesty. as for your penchant for intermittent lies ... just remember i've got ammo on you now, brother.

also, many congratulations to dean and julia. very exciting time for the two of you. i'm doing my happy dance for you guys!

geez, this sounds like the academy awards, doesn't it? sigh. back to the grind.
