i just picked my first pea. one whole one and it was EVERYTHING that i hoped it would be!

prime pea qualities:
1. when you sniff it, it smells green and grassy.
2. when you examine the pod, it is translucent in the light and should be pretty plump.
3. when you pop it open, the shell is crunchy and opens easily. no gummy bendiness.
4. when you eat the pea ... even raw, it is sweet and tasty.
5. when you eat the pea ... it doesn't make you feel like you're eating vegetables.

i cannot believe i just ate something i grew with my own hands! ahhhhh!!

i want to plant more.
