emergency garden update:

omg. omg omg omg. i think i've killed my tomatoes.

not only did it take HOURS (count:3) to weed, but since the tomatoes were getting totally out of hand, i thought i'd trim them back a bit. i noticed that God was very clever about tomatoes -- He grows a fat leaf and then grows an additional node inside the leaf for the tomatoes.

so i, in my infinite wisdom (read: idiocy), decide that i need to trim off the green leaves so that the tomatoes can have more nutrients. karen's people (bob, eric, byron) kindly inform me that if you don't have the leaves for photosynthesis, the tomatoes won't get any nutrients. omg!

GUYS! PRAY FOR MY TOMATOES! PRAY THAT MY ANTI-MARTHA STEWART ABILITIES DON'T KILL THEM!

and i was so excited too! : ( there are so many fuzzy tomatoes! please let them grow Lord!

and the peas! those sneaky little blighters! i've been so focused on the tomatoes that i didn't notice that the peas went and grew themselves. there is a small colony of peas that's just growing like crazy. i hope i didn't kill them too.
