upside of teaching:

1. hideyo tells me i'm beautiful every morning
2. students buy me bling bling rings

context for 1: i've always encouraged hideyo ... tell him he's hot all the time. it's only courtesy to return the favor.
context for 2: students got on my im at school and ask eric huang to marry me and buy me a bling bling ring. as a joke, for our "secret clay exchange" for valentine's day (read: i am the advisor for the unofficial clay aiken club), my secret clay bought me this monstrous paperweight in the shape of a bling bling ring. it is SO FUNNY. i'm going to get karen to take a picture of it and post it. my future husband will never be able to measure up.

the downside of teaching:
1. malicious students who purposely try to get me to crack
2. having to write tests
