today has been such an odd day.

1. a student wrote a vaguely derogatory limerick about me ... i shall post it as soon as i get a copy of it. i laughed so hard. i didn't know i deserved such notoriety.

2. i found out this totally random kid that thinks i hate him. bawled in the counselor's office refusing to come to school b/c he thinks i hate him. he is the sweetest kid, and i have no idea why he would think that. perhaps it is because good students never get as much air time as the naughty ones. need to pay more attention to the silent ones.

3. crazyass parent comes in screaming after school that it is our fault for letting her son dig himself a hole all semester and getting all d's and f's. the afore-mentioned child, who lives in a "paradise home" according to crazy parent just got himself arrested today for getting into a fight off campus.

4. i have to sit with jj to do 6 hours of detention. but i'm making him do my grunt work.

5. finally made headway with this kid who's totally been the biggest deadbeat. apparently, i have finally been made "cool" b/c we both love lord of the rings.
