so i haven't blogged in like forever. and perhaps it is b/c the vast majority of my cyber effort has been placed into stemming the tide of the evil friendster revolution. i completely deny it. i refuse it.

so i finally saw mary and seri's xcountry website. damn funniest thing i have ever seen. EVER. please take especial note of the biggest rocking chair in iowa. it is a sight to behold. excellent blackmailing material for later ...

jenie and i are going surfing tomorrow! i realize that this is the last vacation day i've got before thanksgiving ... a little bummed out about it, but will try to make of it.

post-first week impressions: i am so so so grateful to the way the Lord is blessing me with this new job. as i told kapoo ... "no screaming! no crying! what do you think of that??" and her, for one, is VERY thankful that there is neither screaming nor crying. seriously, to give hillsjail its due ... while it is probably the ugliest school EVER ... the people are GRAND. so friendly and so open and willing to share and help ... and they don't just offer. they do it! nobody tells me that i suck at my job, no one yells at me, and certainly ... no one has fired me (yet) ... and i'm just so glad to be here. the fact that the frosh girls are giving me lip and the frosh guys are channelling 8th grade bothers me little ... there is time enough to break them down "monster laugh". but the Lord, He provides, and He blesses ... and i'm going to milk this mountain top summer season for all it's worth ... and throw my hands up to my GOD. i'm not doing an adequate job of expressing how i feel ... i'm off my word count, but i know that He knows.
