note to self: can't stand large crowds. makes me nervous and anti-social.

we had this huge volunteer appreciation night last night at school. over a hundred people showed up to watch the kids say their thank yous, which was cute. and can i just say? apparently, asian people aren't the only ones that suck at potlucks. i find myself astounded, because i thought only asian people volunteer to bring drinks and napkins and what little food is nabbed by the first three people. but no. apparently, everyone is like this. there was a serious plethora of drinks and chips ... NO FOOD. and being asian, started to have massive guilty feelings about not having enough food. but oh well. it is what it is. and the kids were cute, running back and forth to do their academy awards. plus now ... we have 6 full bags of chips and 15 2-liters left over for science fair.

special note: "blah" DID dig the book!!! yeeeeee haaaaawwwww cowboy! one point for the home team! she was much less cold this morning. it was more like ... chilly. nice.

and ... can i just say how much i am enjoying my cello lessons? it's been tough, since i'm not used to it, but it is SOOOO fun. i'm so glad i decided to do this. it is somewhat cathartic for my battered self, and it just has such a beautiful sound ... even though i have this fairly pathetic chinese cello that goes out of tune every time you LOOK at a string. but now, i'm almost to the point where i can follow kachiu when she's playing guitar -- i am her base line. yeah! of course, she has been patronizing me by playing super slow ... she complains that i can't follow her otherwise. hahaha.

and ... seri is home! welcome home boo!! pizza and movies!

i'm just writing this post because i don't want to grade homework this morning. this is why there is no rhyme or reason or purpose for this. zeroes. zeros?

oh. here's my politics plug: i don't know if i can take arnold schwarzenegger -- i don't even know how to spell his name -- as the governor of california seriously. i really can't. i mean, come on. he was the TERMINATOR. but if he can give schools money, and gives me a job, i would be okay.
